Goga Play stories and activities encourage children to observe and label emotions. This creates the opportunity to learn how to pay attention to one's own feelings and the feelings of others.

The children actively engage and participate in every puppet show including many colourful and imaginative props. During this interactive and fun time, we also explore the world around us, encouraging curiosity. There is problem solving, skill building, learning how to follow instructions, participating in teamwork encouraging one's imagination, creativity, and more!

Every playtime also includes music and yoga inspired dance movement, teaching children how to express and manage their emotions, inspiring development of self-awareness. The choreography of the dance changes every time, corresponding to the theme of the stories.

Yoga helps children with coordination, balance, and flexibility, encouraging them to listen to their bodies and try new things, fostering a positive body image and further helping in the development of self confidence.

Through this fun yoga part of the program, children learn simple calming strategies which can greatly help with managing anxiety.

We end every playtime by doing some fun arts and crafts activities tailored to the theme of the preceding story. Your child will bring extra fun art projects home to add to their creativity and learning. This will also give you, the parent of caregiver, an opportunity to take part in these activities with your child, creating a space where the whole family can participate in exploring feelings and engaging in dialogue, further fostering your child's emotionally healthy world.
